Ashton + Chad // Top of the Rock, Branson Wedding Film

From the very first details of Ashton and Chad’s Big Cedar Lodge wedding hitting my inbox, I could predict that the day was going to be, well, epic. And I don’t use that word lightly, dear reader(s). As it turns out, with a team of elite vendors working behind the scenes and Social Graces at the helm, the festivities couldn’t have gone any smoother.

At the end of our 14-hour day, Emily Nicole and I stood at the entrance to Top of the Rock and remarked at how flawlessly everything came together. From the insane floral work of Poppy’s Garden adorning every nook and cranny, to Elevate Entertainment rocking the house deep into the A.M., it was almost as awe-inspiring as the undeniable love on display between Ashton and Chad.

Almost.

Alexandra + Lazaro // Top of the Rock Wedding Film

If I told you that Alexandra and Lazaro’s Top of the Rock wedding day ended with the wildest, craziest reception of 2018, well, that would also be the biggest understatement of 2018.

But let’s jump back to the beginning of the day, where these two Miami, Florida natives stood across from one another — in an empty chapel soon to be packed to the brim with family and friends — and exchanged personal vows. Based on hanging out with these two as they got ready, I could already tell that the rest of the day would be lively to say the least; but this quiet moment proved to be the most poignant.

And that’s what made the reception so infectiously enjoyable. These families were full of so much passion, that Sheri Holloway and I couldn’t help but join in on the dance floor and bust out some moves as Elevate Entertainment rocked the house. We ended up parting ways around midnight, but legend has it that Alexandra, Lazaro and their loved ones are still partying to this day . . .

Meg + Mike // Stonegate Glass Chapel Wedding Film

I’ll remember a lot of things from this wedding, but I would be remiss if I didn’t include Meg’s smile-inducing laughter on that compilation. Couple that with her and Mike’s two adorable pups, some perfect fall weather and a collection of friends and family that made it impossible to not have a good time, and you have a recipe for one heckuva wedding day.

Sure enough, the day did not disappoint. Starting with preps at a ridiculously cool loft on Springfield’s Commercial Street, followed by tying the knot at Stonegate Glass Chapel just north of Branson and ending the night at Old Towne Event Center in Republic. The day was full of travel, sure, but it was even more full of heart.

Jennifer + Graeme // Top of the Rock Wedding Film

Upon walking into Jennifer's cabin on the morning of the big day, she greeted me with curlers in her hair and a raspy voice from being sick. Her bubbly personality shined right through, however, and I don't think I ever saw that smile leave her face. Meanwhile, Graeme sat down and nervously opened the letter he had received from his soon-to-be bride. When he barely made it through the first sentence without tearing up, I knew that the rest of the day would be magical.

After tying the knot in Top of the Rock's hilltop chapel, the party transitioned to Big Cedar's brand-new Outdoor Shooting Academy, which was set up for a stellar reception and glorious sunset that nearly rivaled the magnitude of Jennifer and Graeme's love for one another.

Max + Rebecca // Big Cedar Wedding Film

As soon as Max let out a nervous exhale before opening his gift from Rebecca, I knew I was about to witness a sincere, heartfelt moment. Sure enough, he could barely hold it together while reading the handwritten words and promises from his bride-to-be. When I got back to the girls' room, letter from Max in hand, Rebecca exhibited the same nervous excitement and teary-eyed reaction. Finally, when the Integrity Hills chapel doors swung open, I believe that Rebecca, quite literally, took Max's breath away.

Although this wedding was equipped with gorgeous floral arrangements, a stunning venue, perfect weather, a live band and even an accordion/sparkler send-off, it was the little moments between Max and Rebecca that I remember the most. Their interactions with one another, with barely any direction from me or the photographer, were truly a dream to capture.

That kind of love, dear reader(s), is what this whole marriage thing is all about.

Heather + Phil // Branson Elopement Wedding Film

Heather just so happens to be a wildly talented photographer, so when she contacted me in regards to filming her and Phil's elopement-style wedding, which was to take place along Table Rock Lake with only a few guests in attendance, you can imagine my unbridled enthusiasm.

On the big day, an immediate sense of relaxation was evident upon walking into Heather's room for the morning preparations. While Phil waited outside for their First Look, the bride-to-be calmly slipped into her dress and accessories before heading downstairs. Phil turned around to see his future wife, walking toward him with a beaming smile, and their reactions set the tone for the rest of the day.

Under a canopy of trees and with a soundtrack of crashing waves and chirping birds, personal vows were promised as a handful of loved ones gathered around. Although the guest list was small, the love felt during Heather and Phil's ceremony was immense to say the least.

Chad + Candice // Big Cedar Branson Wedding Film

Cue the waterworks.

The love that Chad and Candice share is not only unquestionable, it's downright radiant. Seriously, the moment these two met under the warm, glistening trees of Big Cedar Lodge for their first look, their smiles never wavered. And when Candice busted out her heartfelt vows to Chad? Pshhh. I might have teared up a bit. (Viewers, insert "ugly cry" here.)

Despite some threatening clouds early on -- which actually helped cool things off a bit -- the whole day was magical from beginning to end. During the ceremony, the chapel at Integrity Hills was drenched in the setting-sun's glowing departure, enhancing the already-beautiful interior. Top that off with a reception featuring a stunning view of the lake, amazing food and lovely weather, and you could claim that this wedding was just about perfect.

Thank you so much for having me, Chad and Candice, and for filling my heart with purpose.
