Jennifer + Graeme // Top of the Rock Wedding Film

Upon walking into Jennifer's cabin on the morning of the big day, she greeted me with curlers in her hair and a raspy voice from being sick. Her bubbly personality shined right through, however, and I don't think I ever saw that smile leave her face. Meanwhile, Graeme sat down and nervously opened the letter he had received from his soon-to-be bride. When he barely made it through the first sentence without tearing up, I knew that the rest of the day would be magical.

After tying the knot in Top of the Rock's hilltop chapel, the party transitioned to Big Cedar's brand-new Outdoor Shooting Academy, which was set up for a stellar reception and glorious sunset that nearly rivaled the magnitude of Jennifer and Graeme's love for one another.

Amanda + Buddy // Missouri Elopement Wedding Film

When the talented photographers over at Sugar Snap Images asked me to film their wedding day, I was instantly on board, fantasising about working with creative individuals with an eye for imagery and hearts full of romantic purpose. That would have been enough to get my heart pounding with excitement, but then Amanda casually mentioned that their wedding was, in fact, going to be an elopement-style, getting-hitched-under-a-tree-in-a-field-followed-by-photos-and-fireworks type of shindig, and in the words of countless Tumblr blogs and awestruck girls, my only thought was, "I can't even."

At first, Amanda and Buddy were concerned that there wouldn't be much of a story to tell without the formalities of a traditional wedding, but I assured them that, truthfully, there would be more. You see, hidden beneath the stress and anxiety of an itinerary-packed wedding day, there rests the most important reason a couple decides to tie the knot: Love. Discard the venues, the invitations, the catering and everything else that defines a traditional wedding, and you're left with what matters most.

Jenna + Mitchel // Bella Vista, Arkansas Wedding Film

All it takes for me to get absurdly excited about a wedding ceremony is to mention that it's taking place at any of the glass chapels in Arkansas. Mildred B. Cooper Memorial Chapel is one such structure, and its brilliance never ceases to leave me in awe.

The crazy-talented photography team, Eugene Grace Weddings, recommended me to Jenna and Mitchel, and I am so happy that they did. Throughout the entire wedding day, these two exhibited so much passion for their friends, their family and one another that I couldn't help but have a smile equipped from the moment my camera started rolling until well after my drive home.

Benita + Jerry // Oklahoma City Wedding Film

Benita's brother might have orchestrated seemingly everything about this incredible Oklahoma wedding, but through the wonders of the Internet I was able to chat with Benita and Jerry over Skype prior to the big day. Wedding cinematography was very important to them, so I was eager to learn more about their desired style. After our video call ended, I was beaming with excitement and couldn't wait to get them in front of my camera.

Throughout the wedding day, I was amazed at how relaxed both parties were. Despite the massive guest list, consisting of nearly 500 friends and family from all over the world, Benita and Jerry weren't shaken in the slightest. This is, no doubt, due to the fact that their love for one another was not only evident, it was indisputable. From their letters to each other, to their first look, to their ceremony and well into the after-party, their passion never ceased to inspire me.

Max + Rebecca // Big Cedar Wedding Film

As soon as Max let out a nervous exhale before opening his gift from Rebecca, I knew I was about to witness a sincere, heartfelt moment. Sure enough, he could barely hold it together while reading the handwritten words and promises from his bride-to-be. When I got back to the girls' room, letter from Max in hand, Rebecca exhibited the same nervous excitement and teary-eyed reaction. Finally, when the Integrity Hills chapel doors swung open, I believe that Rebecca, quite literally, took Max's breath away.

Although this wedding was equipped with gorgeous floral arrangements, a stunning venue, perfect weather, a live band and even an accordion/sparkler send-off, it was the little moments between Max and Rebecca that I remember the most. Their interactions with one another, with barely any direction from me or the photographer, were truly a dream to capture.

That kind of love, dear reader(s), is what this whole marriage thing is all about.

Meghan + Josiah // Blue Bell Farm Wedding Film

Meghan and Josiah's Blue Bell Farm wedding was something magical, I tell ya. Arriving early in the morning, I was able to capture some of the farm's routines before the summer sun completely took over. The light morning breeze made its way across fields and through trees as happy chickens pranced around the property, which was being tidied up before guests began to arrive.

With both personal vows and pre-ceremony letters, Meghan and Josiah never seemed to run out of things to say. Heartfelt tears and smile-inducing laughter were both common experiences during these spoken moments, and I'm so thankful to have been present for all of it.

Jade + Chad // Missouri Wedding Film

I love thunderstorms.

I can't help but stare in awe at nature's simultaneous beauty and power. I should note, however, that thunderstorms are not typically well-received on a wedding day. This is understandable, especially when said wedding is taking place outside. But, when you take those thunderstorms and scatter them across the plains of Ash Grove, Missouri, surrounding a wedding venue that likes to play chicken with the weather, you get some awesome results.

Jade and Chad's wedding day had the best of both worlds: rumbling thunder in the distance mixed with brilliant sunshine and lively birds chirping about. Pair that with the laid-back and loving attitudes of every person celebrating with them, and you have a recipe for a dang good time.

Mike + Amanda // Oklahoma Wedding Film

Gosh. Where do I begin with these two? Do I start by mentioning their impeccable kindness? Do I kick things off by bringing up just how stunning they are together? What about the fact that both of them are unanimously loved and cherished by everyone around them? Seriously, I could go on.

Oklahoma blessed us with some beautiful fall weather during Mike and Amanda's wedding day, and we took advantage of every second. Doors and windows swayed gently on their hinges while a refreshing breeze cooled those that it touched. My favorite memory of the day, however, wasn't admiring the immaculate floral decorations or wincing at the girls' hilarious-yet-eardrum-bursting "Group Scream." Instead, it was the moments right before the reception officially started, where, igniting the dry leaves ablaze with vibrant, warm colors, the departing sun painted a perfect backdrop as Mike and Amanda hit pause on their wedding day. These moments of timid, candid affection amidst glowing trees and fallen pine needles merely highlighted the obvious fact that this will, indeed, be a long and happy marriage.

John + Jessica // Castroville, Texas Wedding Film

It seems like every time we are flown out to Texas to film a wedding, the big day starts off with loads of rain and a sky full of clouds. But, by the time everything gets going, sun always seem to find its way through.

Our time spent in Castroville proved no different; the sun shined brighter than ever by mid-day, which graced us with some stunning weather. The ceremony and reception were held at the enchanting Hofmann Ranch, which sits atop a hill overlooking the Medina Valley and miles of charming pastureland.

John and Jessica were so laid back all day, striking a fine balance between confident and enthusiastic. Once John met eyes with Jessica as she walked down the sun-drenched aisle, the two never stopped smiling at one another.

To Mr. and Mrs. Free, congratulations, and thanks for showing these Missouri boys a great time.

Ashley + Andy // Springfield Missouri Wedding Film

The beautiful locations, the adorable notes to one another, their timid first-look, the way they never glanced away from each other while speaking their vows. These are just a few of the things that I loved about Ashley and Andy's wedding day.

Upon walking through the door of The Walnut Street Inn that morning, I was smitten by the abundance of natural light and walls full of personality and character. Marching up the stairs revealed a charming set of rooms packed with multiple enthusiastic bridesmaids and one beaming bride-to-be, eagerly waiting to read the note concealed inside an envelope with one of her many nicknames scribbled on the back.

One moment after another, Ashley and Andy blew me away with their thoughtful, caring personalities, all the while looking darn good for the camera. After a smile-inducing first look in the shaded back yard, the gang hopped on a bus and headed toward the truly awesome Kingsway United Methodist church. Guests poured in from all over the country to watch these two tie the knot, and then subsequently packed the house at The Tower Club to celebrate.

Luke + Rachel // Missouri Farm Wedding Film

After meeting Rachel at a bridal show in Springfield, I was instantly looking forward to her wedding. I then found out that the celebration would be taking place on their gorgeous property in Marionville, and my excitement heightened even further. Upon learning the specific details and layout while filming their Save the Date Trailer, I about couldn't handle it. I was honestly worried that, on the big day's arrival, my expectations surely wouldn't be met.

But, sure enough, everything was flawless. Not only did the constant threat of rain completely avoid us throughout the day, but the laid-back attitudes, genuine excitement and perfect weather took this wedding to a whole 'nutha level.

Luke + Rachel, you two are simply wonderful, and you deserve every bit of awesomeness that comes your way. Thank you so much for letting me capture such a perfect story.

Lauren + Zach // The Round Barn Wedding Film

Lauren and Zach are dorks. Hilarious, genuine, friendly, perfectly awesome dorks, and their wedding day proved to be just as fantastic as I knew it would be.

The Round Barn is a quaint little venue nestled amongst the rolling hills of Walnut Grove, Missouri, and it provided the perfect location for this duo to tie the knot. Surrounded by their friends and family, Lauren and Zach exchanged heartfelt, chuckle-inducing vows that put a smile on the face of all those in attendance. When they glanced up at one another in between sentences full of love and promise, you could tell that no spoken words have ever been more true.

My favorite part of the day, however, was Zach's reaction as Lauren confidently walked down the aisle to meet him. The look in his eyes when the crowd stood up is the stuff of pure romance, folks, and I'm glad I was there to witness it. Take notes, groom-to-be's, take notes.

Natalia + Edward // Haseltine Estate Wedding Film

When I first met with Natalia and Edward to film their Love Story and Save the Date Trailer, I immediately knew that their wedding was going to be memorable. Sure enough, that prediction proved to be true, as this duo and their marvelous family delivered a celebration for the books.

Arriving early at Haseltine Estate on the morning of the big day, I was treated to ridiculously perfect weather and an abundance of vendors prepping for the upcoming festivities. On separate ends of the expansive property, Natalia and Edward were tucked away in their respective rooms, neither of them expressing nervousness -- only unbridled enthusiasm. When the time finally came for Natalia to walk down the aisle, Edward could do nothing more than fight back tears of happiness before joining hands with his wife-to-be.

After their nuptials wrapped up under the warm, setting sun, Natalia and Edward's reception commenced with the hilarious and always-entertaining Broc Barton at the helm. The guests had received popular dance move lessons during the cocktail hour thanks to Motion Playlist, so they were ready to show off their newfound skills as the lights dimmed and the strobes kicked in. The young and old alike partied with the newlyweds until late into the night, when the igniting of sparklers signaled the end to an incredible wedding day.

April + Aaron // San Antonio, Texas Wedding Film

After checking into our hotel, (conveniently nestled within downtown San Antonio), the first thing I wanted to explore was the fabled River Walk. The network of walkways along the San Antonio River winds and loops under bridges, serving as a pedestrian escape from the hustling city above. Lined with bars, restaurants, shops and attractions, this sprawling and unique experience was the perfect backdrop to the equally fabulous wedding day that I was about to witness.

April and Aaron are the type of people that seem to just click with anyone they interact with. In fact, upon my first in-person meeting with April on the evening before the big day, I was pulled into a hotel room crammed full of the soon-to-be bridal party and promptly introduced. Within moments, it felt like I had known these folks for much longer than sixty seconds.

The ceremony took place under a gorgeous canopy of trees at the Southwest School of Art, with the sounds of the river and a plethora of birds chirping away. The weather couldn't have been any nicer, but I have a feeling that, even in the worst conditions, April and Aaron would find a way to make those around them maintain their spirits.

Julie + Brandon // Dallas, Texas Wedding Film

Oh, Julie and Brandon. Words cannot express how much fun I had capturing your wedding day. Arriving in Dallas and being greeted with smiles and hugs at your ceremony rehearsal set the tone early on, and the rest of the weekend didn't disappoint.

Let it be known, dear readers, that I am officially a fan of the Nasher Sculpture Center. Nestled in the heart of the Dallas Art District, its stunning architecture and collection of contemporary sculptures perfectly fit the celebration of Julie and Brandon's nuptials. Combine that with the most perfect weather, like, ever, and you have the ingredients for a night of fun. And boy, did we have fun. I don't think I've ever seen a crowd dance as long as these folks did, and I've engaged in some serious partying thanks to this line of work.

Yet the biggest takeaway from my time in Dallas was not the imaginative scenery or the impressive dance moves, nor was it the late-night chocolate cookies. Rather, it was the delightfulness of simply watching Julie and Brandon interact. It's obvious that not only are they still high-school crazy about one another, but they are indeed the best of friends.
